The Customer Service Agent is responsible for dealing with customer service enquiries both via email and phone. Queries range from product feature questions to support for eCommerce orders.  The CS Agent will have a high level of customer empathy and be able to deal with the most challenging questions, defuse the tensest situations and work through complex issues to reach a best-in-class answer.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide frontline service and support to customers of Freedman Electronics group products, including RØDE Microphones, Event Electronics, Aphex, and SoundField, primarily supporting customers over tickets, however occasional phone and social channel support.
  • Service administration, order support/status/invoicing and processing product returns through eCommerce platforms.
  • Managing and responding to customers with marketing-type enquiries wishing to collaborate with RØDE.

About you:

  • Qualifications in Marketing, Business, Communications, Electronics or Audio technology are welcome, but prior experience and a proven track record in a customer-facing role is more important.
  • Audio systems or electronics experience is desirable.
  • An interest in or understanding of technology and a keen interest in learning about audio systems and microphones—prior experience with audio or video technology will be beneficial.
  • Team-oriented individual with a solid ability to work under their own initiative and a strong aptitude for self-learning.
  • Exposure to eCommerce support and customer queries.
  • Experience with case management.
  • Experience in dealing with shipping and postage carriers and an understanding of product ordering and fulfilment.
  • Knowledge or experience of the use of microphones is a definite plus.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer service environment.
